I obtained my Master’s Degree at the University of South Africa, followed by an internship at Natalspruit Hospital in Katlehong working with children and families, and at Tara working with patients with severe psychiatric diagnoses. After qualifying I worked at the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital. Sexual and physical abuse, as well as alcohol and substance abuse, were prevalent problems in the area amongst the children and their families. After a year and a half at the hospital I started my private practice where I continue to work today. I have also done some work in a spinal and neurological rehabilitation centre in Pretoria, seeing patients and their families at the Muelmed hospital. I have done advanced training in Ego State Hypnotherapy as well as Medical Hypnoanalysis. My interest in working with couples and families has led me to train in Family and Child mediation through Familyzone which has equipped me to draw up a Parenting Plan in line with the requirements of the family court and Children’s Act.
My approach is tailored to each individual’s needs integrating different complementary modalities. I enjoy interacting with each client and exploring different ways of finding a suitable solution.
